MINISO Unveils Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 Collection Worldwide, Marking First YOYO and Disney Pixar Collaboration
On June 19, MINISO globally launched its new MINISO’s Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5-inspired collection, rolling out across stores worldwide starting from June. Among the new releases, the YOYO and Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 collection made its exciting debut featuring the proprietary MINISO IP, YOYO. As the first collaboration between YOYO and Disney or Pixar, the new lineup represents a major step in the development of the MINISO original character with a globally established franchise.

MINISO’s Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5-inspired collection includes more than 100 products across a wide range of categories, including blind boxes, vinyl plush toys, collectible figures, plush toys, accessories, and lifestyle merchandise. Inspired by iconic Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story characters, each item incorporates recognizable character elements and extends them into everyday life.

As a key highlight of the collaboration, the YOYO and Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 lineup marks the first collaboration between a MINISO original IP and a licensed franchise and features over 30 styles, including themed blind boxes and vinyl plush charms. Combining YOYO’s proprietary visual identity with beloved Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story character cues, the collaboration complements the broader licensed assortment and further enriches the IP-driven merchandise experience at MINISO stores.

Timed to launch alongside the upcoming theatrical release of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, the collection draws inspiration from major moments in the movie, further connecting with fans across both retail and cultural touchpoints. The launch of the collection has also been reinforced by a series of offline activations across key markets:

In Australia, MINISO is presenting the world’s first YOYO and Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 themed experience zone at the Melbourne Central atrium from June 19 to 25 to celebrate the opening of the country’s first MINISO FRIENDS store. Centered around YOYO, it features a series of large sculptures inspired by Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie from the collaborative collection, creating a highly photogenic and immersive public display that introduces MINISO’s proprietary IP in a Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5-themed setting.

In Southeast Asia, MINISO is rolling out a series of YOYO and Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 themed activations across key markets, including Indonesia and Vietnam. In Indonesia, MINISO has brought an in-store themed zone and YOYO and Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 installations to Jakarta’s Central Park shopping mall. The installations cover both outdoor and indoor atrium spaces, as well as a giant sky screen show showcasing YOYO characters above Central Park, creating a playful large-scale visual experience. In Vietnam, dedicated pop-up stores are further extending the collection experience, creating additional opportunities for fan engagement through interactive retail touchpoints.

In China, MINISO launched pop-up activations across three major cities for one month starting from May 29, creating additional immersive touchpoints that align with the product rollout and further extend the in-store experience around the collection.

In the US, the collaboration has taken on another form with arrival of YOYO’s first US exhibition in New York City. Featuring the debut of several life-sized installations from the YOYO and Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 lineup, the expansive exhibition brings the collaboration to life at a scale never seen before.
